International Bible School

Mission

The mission of the International Bible School (IBS) is to provide a fundamental Bible correspondence course that teaches fundamental truths. In order to accomplish this mission, the function of IBS is divided into two areas of operation.

  • Direct Enrollment - All tracts that go out from Africa International Missions has the local IBS address attached to it. If a student desires to receive the IBS courses directly from Africa International Missions, he or she can write to the following address:
  • International Bible School
    P. O. Box 5001
    Bellville 7535
    South Africa

  • Indirect Enrollment - Through the ministry of International Christian Press, the IBS system of study is printed for use by local churches throughout Africa. If a local church in Africa seeks to operate its own Bible correspondence course program, IBS, through the ministry of International Christian Press, will provide the courses. Through this medium of operation, local churches assume the responsibility for distribution, grading and follow-up of all contacts.
  • IBS SYSTEM OF STUDY

The foundation principle for the development of the IBS system of study is that most Bible correspondence course students do not have direct follow-up by local workers. IBS is an international outreach, and thus the system of study must be based on the fact that the laborers are few. We will never be able to personally contact Bible correspondence course contacts. Because of this reality in international Bible correspondence course work, IBS has developed a three course program of study that deals with the fundamentals of what one must know in order to obey the gospel.

Included in the Salvational Master Course of the program are guidelines on how to start a church. The core courses of the program are the following:

    Mini-Mailer Course

The Mini-Mailer course is designed as a small "tract course" that is used for post office mass distribution. Each course can be placed in a post office box for approximately 2 cents. The purpose of this course is mass distribution in order to enroll students in the IBS program.

    Enrollment Course

The Enrollment Course of the IBS program is a single-A4 page. The purpose of publishing this course is mass distribution. Local churches use this course for local house-to-house distribution. The course is simple, and thus encourages prospective students to write for the Introduction Course.

    Introduction Course

The Introduction Course is an eight-page course that introduces students to the fundamentals of the gospel. As the Introduction Course, the purpose is to encourage students to continue their studies as they progress to the Master Courses.

    Master Courses

There are presently two Master Courses of the IBS program. One is designed specifically to deal with the salvation of the recipient and the other designed specifically to deal with the Christian behavior of the recipient.

    Salvational Master Course

The Salvational Master Course was designed to take students through a study of the scheme of redemption. The eighty-page book takes students through six major subjects of study with a conclusion that one must obey the gospel by immersion in water for the forgiveness of sins. The following are the titles of the six major subjects of study:

            • The Problem of Sin
            • God's Solution for Sin
            • Taking Advantage of God's Grace
            • Obedience to the Gospel
            • The Church of God's People
            • Starting a Church

    Behavioral Master Course

The Behavioral Master Course is a ninety-five page course that was designed to help recipients apply the principles of Jesus to one's life. This course is practical and focuses on the development of the character, morals and ethics of students. The following are the subjects of the course:

            • Building Nations by Building Characters
            • The Loving Family
            • The Dignified Person
            • The Good Neighbor
            • The Productive Citizen
            • The Responsible Citizen
            • The Dynamic Leader
            • The God-fearing Person

International Bible School Bible Correspondence Course Kit

Third Generation Bible Correspondence Course Evangelism:
Africa International Missions sponsors a new concept in Bible correspondence course ministry. We refer to this concept as the "third generation" system of doing international Bible correspondence course evangelism.

The "first generation" occurred when American churches began the ministry of correspondence courses over fifty years ago. A few courses were written and few churches sent these courses throughout the world. After World War II, this system increased as the church become more internationally minded.

The "second generation" Bible correspondence course outreach was developed when individuals desired to send out courses from kitchen tables across America. A central supplier offered the courses and individual Christians throughout America sent, received and graded the courses. Thus was born the concept of World Bible School.

An exciting "third generation" of Bible correspondence course ministry has now been developed to fulfill the demand of Christians throughout the world. Those "mission fields" throughout the world to which courses were sent for many decades have now become those who desire to do their own Bible correspondence course ministry. Instead of being "mission points", these Christians want to be mission churches. Unfortunately, most of these faithful Christians live in Third World economies, and thus do not have the resources to print or buy Bible correspondence courses. They sincerely want to do their own Bible correspondence course ministry, but must have the partnership of others who can help them by providing courses. International Bible School has come to their aid by providing a correspondence course system they can use. We are asking you to partner with these faithful Christians in order that they can evangelize their own people.

International Bible School Bible Correspondence Course Kit Evangelism:

The International Bible School Bible Correspondence Course Kit is the answer to the prayer of thousands of Christians who are living in Third World conditions, but desire to do their own evangelistic outreach through Bible correspondence courses.

Here's how it works: All that is necessary to conduct one's own correspondence course program is contained in a 45-pound box that is mailed or shipped to the International Bible School (IBS) teacher. In the IBS Bible Coorespondence Course (BCC) Kit is a system of courses. The 1,500 courses in each Kit include the 2-page Mini-Mailer Course, 2-page Enrollment Course, 8-page Introductory Course, and the 80-page Master Course.

The IBS BCC Kit also includes forms for the IBS teacher to keep record of his or her students. When the student completes all required studies, an included Certificate of Completion is awarded by the teacher. All courses are hand delivered by the teacher. No post office is used, and thus the IBS teacher has no postage expenses. Since the courses are hand delivered, this puts the teacher in immediate contact with the student. Once students complete their courses, they return them to the teacher, who grades the courses and gives the next course.

    IBS BCC Kit Sponsorship:

Here is how you can help. First, we have willing IBS teachers throughout Africa pleading for an IBS BCC Kit. You can sponsor a Kit being sent to one of these teachers. You can partner with a faithful Christian in Africa who wants to evangelize his or her own people and country. Second, if you have a special place of mission interest in Africa, we will send your sponsored Kit to that address. In your partnership with someone with whom you are already working, we become the supplier of Kits to your mission point.

    IBS BCC Kit Costs:

The following costs include ONE Kit of 1,500 courses, plus postage or shipping to the IBS teacher. (Costs vary according to location in Africa.)

    • $225.00 One complete Kit sent to upper Africa (Sent to countries in upper Africa)
